The Silicone Industry Association of Japan (SIAJ) is a non profit-making trade organization representing companies that produce and sell silicone products in Japan. SIAJ was founded in 1967 and consists of five companies today.
Wide varies of silicone products are being used at almost all industries in Japan and are contributing positively to our daily life. SIAJ provides accurate information about silicone products to industries, consumers as well as society and fosters product stewardship for the healthy growth of silicone industry. Recently, SIAJ also exchanges information and sponsors environmental, health, and safety initiatives related to silicones, through cooperation with SEHSC and CES.

Centre Europeen des Silicones (CES)The Centre European des Silicones (CES) represents all major silicone producers in Europe. It is committed to informing down-stream industry, customers, and the public and promoting the safety of silicones from a health and environmental perspective. CES was formed in 1968 and is a sector group of CEFIC, the European Chemical Industry Council, which is both the forum and the voice of the European chemical industry.
Silicones Environmental, Health and Safety Council of North AmericaThe Silicones Environmental, Health and Safety Council of North America (SEHSC) is a not-for-profit trade association comprised of North American silicone chemical producers and importers. For more than 25 years, SEHSC has operated to fund research and promote the safe and responsible use of silicones. The organization also is involved in legislative and regulatory issues relating to silicone materials. Originally formed in the mid-1970s as the Silicones Health Council, the organization became SEHSC in 1993.
Global Silicone CouncilThe Global Silicone Council (GSC) is a not-profit, international organization whose mission is to promote the safe use and stewardship of silicones globally. To accomplish this mission, GSC anticipates and identifies environmental, health, and safety initiatives, and coordinates strategies and activities of the three regional silicone associations (i.e., CES, SEHSC, SIAJ), which undertake these initiatives. GSC also encourages industry communication with international environmental, health, and organization such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the Organization of Economic and Community Development (OECD), and the United nations (UN). Formed in 1993, GSC represents companies that produce and sell silicone products globally.
